Trusting SOWORE is dangerous

I would like to talk about an interesting figure in the forthcoming elections; Omoyele Sowore. He has been campaigning with the premise that youths are the leaders of tomorrow, using a sell-able message as leverage for his elections next year. Since his campaign, we have not heard him say anything pertaining to how he intends to create jobs, boost the economy, solve insecurity issues or provide constant power supply. His campaign is just about gathering the youths together and taking power from the old; as if that is the biggest problem we have in Nigeria.

Nigeria had always produced exceptional youths as leaders in many ramification, we have had President Jonathan a much younger president considering Buhari’s age. But having youths in position is far from the solution to Nigeria’s problems. We need people to tell us how they intend to turn around the country’s fortune for good and not people that will us that they are going to scrap the national assembly. Scrapping the National assembly will only compound the myriads of problems we already have in our country and not solve any. If the NASS is scrapped, how will the executive be checkmated? It sure means that the president and ministers would have super powers to do as they so please.

I like Omoyele sowore bold steps towards becoming the next president; I appreciate his effort as a youth, but the truth is that he cannot be trusted. Sowore has always been a con man, an individual that in several occasions have been accused of blackmail is sure not a fit for Nigeria president. His news outlet ‘sahara reporters’ is used as a witch hunting tool to target government officials he does not fancy or people who refuse to pay him his desired ransom. We do not need a bigot or a blackmail ridding on the back of our youths to achieve his personal ambition. If sowore want to be president let him leave this youth narrative, come out as a candidate and contest elections with others. The Nigeria youths do not have consensus candidate yet, and even if we do it definitely will not be Omoyele Sowore C.E.O of a blackmailing news site.

Quick Vender Ltd launches www.quickvender.com.ng

www.quickvender.com.ng is operated by Quick Vender Ltd. The site promises to solve problems related to finding automotive spare parts. The platform was launched on the 18th September 2017 with a low key ceremony among the Quick vender ltd team mates.

www.quickvender.com.ng was launched because of the growing necessity in the heavy duty and machineries service sector. The heavy duty and machineries service sector has continued to grow in demand without anyone filling the void, so Quick Vender Ltd thought it wise to give the sector full representation by providing an avenue for sellers to sell parts while buyers can directly contact them.

Quick vender ltd e-commerce model is quite different from the traditional e-commerce model. Their style of e-commerce was born out of the need to satisfy every customer that visits the platform, making sure customers are not disappointed after searching for an item.

The Quick vender Ltd team has promised a great experience when using the platform and we look forward to that.

DASUKIGATE

There have been various argument about the $2.1 bill scandal. While some people believe it is the right step in the right direction, others are of the opinion that the present government is just wasting so much time and energy in the probe. Well, I would like to break it out mathematically so that we can see how much we need to complete fight.

From all indications, various sections of the media is of the opinion that col. Sambo dasuki misappropriated a whooping sum of #400bill. But so far the amount of money that has been traced to different account does not even add up to #10bill. What does that mean? It means that it took the federal government about 5 months to discover the whereabouts of #10bill while we have another #390bill which has not been accounted for. There are 39 #10bill yet to go, meaning it might take another 195 months approximately 16 years three months to completely find the whereabouts of the remaining sum.

With all these figures, what can I conclude? Maybe nothing or maybe I just like playing with figures. But I ask you a very salient question. Is it worth the time and energy? Or is it another ploy to distract the citizens from the present hardship? I don’t know what to say. But I know one thing…16 years is a long time. You be the judge.

A LETTER TO FATHER MBAKA

Dear father
I would like to remind you of some of the words you used during the 2015 election campaign period. I quote “the so-called democracy was a hidden autocracy. It was deceptive and questionable quack miler. Nigerians suffered hunger unnecessarily. We heard about oil subsidy being removed and added whatever be (is) their jargon, nobody understood them. We heard about minimum wage, the civil servants suffered, the minimum wage was not paid and we were all calm. In 2015, Nigerians will not be calm again”

But sir, in just few months your so called holy spirit inspired change government has been more autocratic than any other government in the past 10 years. The government has flaunted court orders, they killed thousands of Nigerians just because free flow of traffic was impinged and they further arrested all its political enemies in the name of fighting corruption. they have also killed innocent protesting civilians. Father, I ask you isn’t this government more autocratic. People these days are so much filled with fear to such an extent that the truth has become a very scarce commodity. Media houses now give use the truth technically, while the new synonym of opposition is wailing. Father is this the way forward. How can a country that wants to progress be so afraid of her president.

Father, you also told us that the citizens where suffering too much as at 2014 but sincerely speaking father can you compare the amount of suffering from that time with the present time. The NBS recent statistics suggested that about 1.9 million jobs were lost in three months ( September, October and November. 2015), the Nigerian stock exchange is heading downward with supersonic speed,  inflation rates is on the rise and do you know the funny thing father; the presidency scarcely speaks about measures in curbing this disturbing facts. The presidency loves talking about corruption and how determined she is in fighting corruption, but she keeps using the same old tactics that previous governments used without achieving any meaningful result.

Father, you also talked about oil subsidy removal and its jargons I hope you now understand the jargons associated with oil subsidy. The minimum wage you spoke about sir cannot even be paid by most states presently and you are quite. I know your defense will be that the past government looted all the monies. We know that, and  we accept it; but is it what we will hear for the next four years? The monies were made by the past government. The present government should make their own money and make good use of it. The past administration made money through oil, Nigeria has over 40 mineral resources the present government can choose to make theirs through iron ore or coal or alluvial gold or even copper. A responsible government sort for solutions and not gnashing of teeth.

Father, the reason I am pointing this things out is so that you as a political ally of the president can inform him about our present predicaments. How can I be happy? I was told to study and come out with at least a 2-1. I studied and achieved it in a department like chemical engineering. But after all the studies and hard work the only job the present government is offering is teaching job. If I knew that, I would have opted for a course in Education and not engineering, probably to save one year.
Father, you know you have strong followership and whatever you say to your followers becomes law.  It is about time you start separating your emotions from the words of the Holy Spirit. Please stop using you spiritual powers to intimidate and oppress other people, God gave you a gift to help humanity and not to destroy humanity.

Management: An insight of what it entails

Wikipedia defines management as a function that coordinates the efforts of people to accomplish goals and objectives by using available resources effectively and efficiently. However, anyone who performs management functions in a firm is said to be a manager. As stated earlier, for a firm to be highly productive she must perform her organizational functions efficiently and effectively. While efficiency is concerned with the accomplishment of organizational purpose, effectiveness dwells on production of best possible product using the least amount of time or money.

Today many Nigerian businesses are controlled by managers from Asia; be it Lebanese, Chinese or Indians. All they do as managers is to make sure workers in the company puts in all the physical strength they possess. In as much as this practice produces short term results, it has a long term effect in the growth of such organizations. I carefully studied a company that produces steel very close to ajaokuta steel company, the introduction of the company in that area brought lots of excitement and hope to people living around the area. But sooner than later their hopes and aspirations where cut shorts as Chinese managers were giving the mandate to manage the affairs of the company.

The managers thought they were being productive but the reality is that they were actually losing more than they thought they were getting. The company cannot boast of a staff working with them or rather working for them for as long as one year; all the company does is to continually repeat a particular process. The company hires a staff, trains the staff for a period of 3-6 months, worker then begins to work for them and normally after few months the worker becomes dissatisfied and quits his job. The company suffers another loss in training a new staff (loss in terms of time and money). They also suffer huge loss when the worker starts working for them because the new staff will need time to become an expert in the field after suffering all those losses just when it is time to start enjoying their reward the worker quits. Lastly the company suffers very big loss from product inconsistency which usually cost them about hundreds of thousands each week as customers are seen returning fake and unusable products.
Looking at all these I wonder why Nigeria entrepreneurs still prefers a Chinese or Indian manager over a Nigerian manager. If India was so good in managing then they would not be below Nigeria in the income per capita chart. If china was so good in management they would not be just 24 countries above Nigeria in the corruption index of transparency international. It is unfortunate that people like the Lebanese one of the smallest countries in the world and also among the poorest countries when compared with the income per capita is manag
ing a Nigerian firm. I believe in the Nigerian manager and I am asking all Nigerians to sit up and tell these Asians that, hey apart from your white skin you are not better that me.

A SURE WAY TO FINANCIAL FREEDOM

AUTOMOTIVE DIAGNOSIS: A SURE WAY TO FINANCIAL FREEDOM

N.B www.emmyjoach.blogspot.com is providing free online training for those interested. The online training also includes guide on how to perform practicals with the equipments.

The definition for automotive diagnosis involves both words; automotive and diagnosis. Automotive means anything relating or concerned with motor vehicles while diagnosis is defined as the identification of the nature and causes of certain phenomena. The literal meaning of automotive diagnosis as described above can further mean in more realistic term; the use of various automotive detecting equipments, to troubleshoot and identify problems associated with motor cars. In previous years automotive technicians proffered solutions to many car repair questions from just assessing the symptoms related to motor cars and then giving the customers professional advice from a large knowledge base of past experience. But with advent of modern diagnostic equipment, automotives can better be analyzed using more precise analytic process.
Furthermore, because of the continuous incidents related to car theft automotive manufacturing companies has resorted to using tighter security in making sure that the men of the underworld finds it very difficult to steal cars. In as much as the automotive manufacturing companies designs cars with tighter security, these companies have not failed to carry automotive technician along with their latest designs. The onus then lies on the technician to making sure that he is not left out in the present development going on in the automotive industries.
All along the role of the automotive technician in the present automotive manufacturing environment has been highlighted to a large extent but it is also worthy to note that with little training a lay person can become an expert in automotive diagnostics. To be an expert in automotive diagnosis, a lay person can be trained on the basics in automotive which he can combine with a little knowledge on computer appreciation followed by hard work.

Nigeria is the second largest automotive market in Africa and also has a projected automotive market growth of more than 40% in 2015, It is so clear that the sky is just the starting point for any individual or organization that delves into the automotive industry in Nigeria. MINI IMPORTATION: MUST READ

I have heard so many people talk about selling an eBook for mini importation, that’s when I resolved to a write a short but very comprehensive piece about mini importation.

Mini importation is not as difficult as people make it look. In fact what people call mini importation, is online shopping in ordinary terms. It is synonymous to buying from konga.com or jumia.com. The only thing that makes us call this one importation is because in this case; the shop you are buying from is not in this country it might even be from outside Africa. To become a good mini importer, all you need to do is to follow these steps.

1. Know what you want: this is very important, but a lot of people fail to recognize this fact and then they fail into problems during transactions. Online shopping companies at all times provides us with a large pool of goods in whatever area you are interested in. If you are not specific on what you want from a particular shopping company, you might end up getting confused and at the end you lose your money –because you paid for what you don’t like.

2. Check the description: do not be in a hurry to add a particular item to your shopping cart without first checking the description. Many online shopping companies have short description for any item that is up for sale. When next you are surfing for an item you need in a shopping site, please try and check its description and be convinced that this is actually what you want to buy.

3. Build a relationship with the seller: This is very important step in purchasing goods online. Many a time people make the mistake of paying for a product without making necessary inquiries from the supplier about the product. And at the end they fall for fake goods or a fake supplier. Whenever you want to buy a particular product, it is paramount that you establish a strong relationship, between you and the supplier. You can achieve this by either calling his mobile or sending him messages through the online shopping site. Note that not all shopping site accepts a third party payment, some of them sell goods directly to the buyer. Whenever you are in a site that sells directly to its customer, try and read its agreement before sale. In this agreement, there is a provision that gives you a specific amount of time to access the goods before accepting it. For those other sites that allows third party payment, please make sure you request to pay through third party. Third party payment allows you to inspect the item on sale before finalizing the deal. So be wise!

4. Bargaining: as a business man or woman you are most interested in maximizing profits, so you should be looking for a place where you can get items at the most reduced cost. It is not bad to bargain. When you see the price for a particular product, don’t just rush to place an order without bargaining with the seller. Make sure the price you are getting such product is the cheapest you can find. Other business men or women likes those who bargain, it shows that the person understand what business is. So, don’t be afraid. Bargain!

5. Shipping: this is the last and most vital step. No matter how smart you have been in the market, if you goods do not get to you, then you have not made any reasonable transaction. Yes, you can meet your supplier for the shipping details available. I will still try to throw more light on the shipping requirements. UPS covers so many places, but it is very expensive to ship with, so be careful. DHL does not cover many areas, but in case you location is included in places it can ship to; DHL is cheaper and also fast. Both UPS and DHL do not take more than three days before one receive his parcel. China post is the cheapest to ship with, but it takes up to 30 days for one to receive his parcel. If you are buying from china you can consider using shipping companies like CHRISVICMALL INTERNATIONAL, you can pay in naira, it is cheap to ship through them and you parcel would take just about 7 days to get to you. If you are buying from the U.S you can buy from CIRCUIT ATLANTIC, they buy goods for you from whichever online shopping company, then they add the cost of shipping to the cost of goods and they deliver goods in 7 days also; moreover you can pay in naira.

Online shopping companies you can import from.

www.aliexpress.com: they act as a third party agent between the buyer and the supplier. This is where you get Chinese product at its cheapest rate. You can also get products from other countries, but it might not be as cheap as Chinese product.

www.amazon.com: they sell all variety of goods from electronics to books both old and new. But they are cheaper for American products.

www.ebay.com: eBay is an online auction site, they specialize in auctioning, and so to make purchase from them you would have to carefully study its auction market.

www.dhgate.com : this site is very similar to the aliexpress.com; it operates like aliexpress and has all the features of aliexpress.

www.ipmart.com this site mainly sell phone, it is easy to use and offers very cheap products.

They are numerous online shopping sites, available in every part of the world, though I always advise people to stick with the one that works for them. Thanks

THE NIGERIAN 3: WHO IS A NIGERIAN POLITICIAN?

Normally, a politician is said to be that person that is actively engaged in politics especially an elected or appointed government official. Usually the Nigerian definition for terms is always different from that of other societies. So in Nigeria, a politician is any person that is involved in politics. It is important to note the difference in adjectives while in other societies a politician is actively engaged in politics, in Nigeria any person involved in politics is called a politician. In other words Nigerians calls the driver of a senator a politician and the funny thing is that the senators driver meet his friends and try to teach them how politics is been run in the country, even though the driver has never won in any elections –he is just a common driver. But then the surprising thing is that those people the driver teach politics, will accept his political theory and then a wise person among them would ask, why has he not contested any elections? Then others would say something like: he does not have money –forgetting that elections are sponsored by other individuals not even the contestant; then another would say he is just not lucky –without considering the fact that there is only a very minimal element of luck in an election; now the third person would say that he is godly and don’t want to get involved in the difficult spiritual process during elections –and then everyone would agree with him; Why? –Nigerians are very religious but slightly spiritual. Now, we also have another group of Nigerians who are actively engaged in Nigerian politics. That particular group of Nigerians is the real Nigerian politician. The problem is that, this group is very small compared to the total number of people we have in the country. Imagine in Nigeria a person can be representing a senatorial district for more than 20 years, then I begin to wonder if that person is the wisest person in the community –and you know what trips me; for the 20 years that person might be a senator, many times you would see that the senatorial district is lacking any kind of serious development. But then they are always voted back into government. Look at me talking about voted back into government –they do not need any body’s vote to become senators, all they need to do is to put their political machineries together and then as usual they win the elections. So these groups of people are the ones called the actual Nigerian politician and they are very few. Visit www.emmyjoach.blogspot.com to get more on THE NIGERIAN series.
